Ym 1918, roedd rhaid i ddynion fod yn 21 oed i bleidleisio, a doedd merched ddim yn cael pleidleisio tan eu bod dros 30 oed, a hynny ond os oedden nhw neu eu g\u0175r yn berchen ar eiddo. 10 mlynedd yn ddiweddarach, ym 1928, newidiwyd yr oedran pleidleisio i fod yn 21 oed i bawb. Chafodd yr oedran pleidleisio mewn Etholiad Cyffredinol mo\u2019i ostwng i 18 oed i ddynion a merched tan 1969. Ers 2021, gall pobl ifanc yng Nghymru bleidleisio yn Etholiadau\u2019r Senedd ac mewn Etholiadau Lleol yn 16 oed.
