Vapes
Key Points
Vapes are an e-cigarette that has a battery powered device that converts liquid nicotine into an aerosol (or vapour) that the user inhales.
E-cigarettes do not burn tobacco and do not produce tar or carbon monoxide, two of the most damaging elements in tobacco smoke.
They work by heating a liquid (called an e-liquid) that typically contains nicotine.
Some common street names are:

- Elf Bars
Vapes are also advisable if you are trying to quit smoking tobacco or cigarettes as they do not contain the carcinogenic ingredients of tobacco and cigarettes.
