How do I make a referral?
You can self-refer or alternatively, your parent/carer/teacher or any trusted adult could do this with your consent. If you would prefer to come into the INFO Shop to complete the referral form, please do.
You can pick up a referral form from the following places:
- School
- College
- INFO Shop
- We can post one out to you
Complete and return the referral to Outside In, INFO Shop, Lambpit Street, Wrexham, LL11 1AR, or scan/email to outside_in@wrexham.gov.uk, please note, we cannot accept any referrals without the young persons consent.
What happens next?
A counsellor will contact you by email/phone whichever is best for you, to let you know we’ve received your referral, they’ll let you know where you are on the waiting list and when you can expect your sessions to start.
How long are the counselling sessions?
Sessions are for 50 minutes weekly, we try to fit this into your schedule where possible.
How many sessions will I get?
Initially 6 weekly sessions then we will review together if you need further counselling. Your counsellor will also be able to identify other support services who might also help you and can either signpost or make a referral with your consent.
Where do the sessions take place?
It is your choice where your counselling takes place, this can be at your school, the INFO Shop or at the “Vic” Youth Centre.

Counselling sessions are available Monday – Friday 9:00am until 5:30pm.
