Christmas can be a stressful time for some young people because Christmas is not always the happiest time of the year. If you need help and support over this period Info is open, however listed below are helplines that will also be able to help.

MIND

Call 0300 123 3393 or text 86463. Mind offers advice, support and information to people experiencing a mental health difficulty and their family and friends. info@mind.org.uk

Samaritans

Call 116 123 or 08081640123 for support in Welsh. Available 24 hours a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress, despair or suicidal thoughts. jo@samaritans.org

The Mix

Do you need help now? Our crisis messenger text service provides free, 24/7 crisis support across the UK. If you’re aged 25 or under, and are experiencing any painful emotion or are in crisis, you can text THEMIX to 85258.

Childline

Call 0800 1111. You can talk to us about anything. No problem is too big or too small. Up to 19 years of age.

Papyrus

Call 0800 068 4141 or text 07786 209 697 for Prevention of Youth Suicide. Open 10am-10pm on weekdays and 2pm-10pm on weekends and bank holidays. pat@papyrus-uk.org

PAPYRUS is the national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. They support young people under 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide, as well as people concerned about someone else.

YoungMinds

Crisis Messenger, text for free 24/7 support across the UK if you are experiencing a mental health crisis. If you need urgent help text YM to 85258.

Campaign against Living Miserably (CALM)

Call 0800 58 58 58. A helpline for men in the UK who are down or have hit a wall for any reason, who need to talk or find information and support, lines open 5pm to midnight, every day of the year.
