We’ve got some exciting news to share that’s all about taking charge of your sexual health – INFO Shop is now your go-to pick-up point for STI Test & Post Kits!
We’re making it easier than ever for you to get tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) with our new service. Whether you’re curious, practicing safe sex, or just want to stay informed about your sexual health, we’ve got you covered.
What’s Available?
At INFO Shop, you can now pick up home testing kits for a range of STIs, including Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. These kits are absolutely FREE and come with everything you need to discreetly test yourself in the comfort of your own home, if you’re over 18 just ask to pick up a kit. If you are 16/17 one of our youth workers will need to just have a quick chat with you, it’s all confidential and it’s just to make sure you are keeping yourself safe.
How Does It Work?
Testing couldn’t be easier. Simply pop into the INFO Shop during our opening hours and grab a kit. Each kit includes clear instructions for self-testing, along with a prepaid envelope for easy return by post. It’s quick, simple, and totally confidential. We have 3 types of kit, female, male and a universal kit for those who prefer not to disclose their gender, just ask for your preferred option.

For those seeking additional assistance, our dedicated team of youth workers are here to offer support. At INFO, we also provide convenient access to DIY test kits for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea Monday to Friday during opening hours that you can do on site. For males, it simply involves a quick urine sample, while females will need to provide a vaginal swab. Once completed, these tests are promptly sent to the lab, with results typically returned in less than a week.

Taking care of your sexual health is super important, and getting tested regularly is a big part of that. Whether you’re sexually active at the moment or not, knowing your status helps you make informed decisions about your health and wellbeing. Plus, early detection means early treatment, which is key to preventing the spread of STIs and keeping yourself and your partners healthy.

As a reminder we do have a Sexual Health Clinic at INFO on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00pm until 5:30pm where you can access a full range of contraceptives and speak with a nurse from sexual health, it’s a drop in so no appointment needed, aside from implants – so if it’s an implant you’re opting for just give us a call to make sure we have an implant nurse on!
