Important Update: Changes to Info Shop Sexual Health Clinic Hours

We have some sad news to share regarding the Info Shop’s Sexual Health Clinic services.  NHS Wales has made the difficult decision to reduce the number of days that the Info Shop can operate its Sexual Health Clinic.  Unfortunately, they’ve chosen to cut the Monday clinic day.

What Does This Mean? From Monday 2nd June 2025, the Monday Sexual Health Clinic at the Info Shop will no longer be available.  We know how important these services are for the young people in our community, and we are deeply saddened by this change.  Please know that this decision is out of our hands, but we are doing everything we can to ensure you have access to the support you need.

Still Here For You On Mondays: Even though the nurses and full clinic service will no longer be available on Mondays, the Info Shop will still be offering a Sexual Health Drop-In Service from 11:30am. You can still access:

  • Free condoms
  • STI testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea at INFO Shop
  • Pregnancy testing and advice for unplanned pregnancy
  • Collect a full STI screening “test and post” kit to do at home
  • Information & advice

Our youth work staff will be available to provide support and guidance during this time.

Clinic on Wednesdays and Fridays: There will be a slight increase in the clinic hours on these days, so you can drop in from 2:30pm until 5:30pm.  There will hopefully be 2 nurses on duty.

Alternative Support & How to Book: You can also access sexual health services through the Maelor appointment line by calling 03000 847662.  The appointment line is available Monday to Friday, from 9am until 1pm.  If you don’t get through immediately, their advice is to keep trying, as the line may be busy.

We Understand This Is Hard: We know this will impact many of you, and we want to express that the Info Shop staff are really sad to see this change happen.  We’ve always been proud to offer support, and it’s tragic that we’re losing one of our busiest clinic days.  Please know that we’re here for you, and we will continue to work alongside NHS Wales to ensure access to sexual health services in the best way possible under these new circumstances.

We appreciate your understanding and will keep you updated!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
