Young Wrexham Lives  

Young Wrexham has teamed up with students from Coleg Cambria in Wrexham to give an insight into the lives of young people in Wrexham.  Over the next few weeks we will be showcasing their articles that include ‘The life of a football reviewer, ‘Thoughts on Brexit’ for young people, ‘A trip to the moon’, ‘How to build a computer, ‘My favourite album’, ‘My favourite gig’, ‘Things I would change in Wrexham’, ‘Things I love about Wrexham.

In the project you can talk about most things (nothing rude, lude or crude) and it can be carried out by writing/video or animation.  If you would like to take part in the ‘Young Wrexham Lives’ project then please contact us.

A Trip To The Moon

What would it be like to live on the moon

Let’s find out as i’m off in june

But how would i get there

Where would i land

I wonder if the ground feels like the sand

4 months later and the time it due

It’s the first of june and i’m off the moon

I will have to settle in as its kinda new

Hope i will be returning home soon

When i approached the rocket it was really tall

When i get into space i hope i don’t fall

I heard in space it’s really cold

But also i heard the moon is really old

I’ve just landed but there’s nothing here

I hope there aren’t any aliens near

I jumped on the ground, it did not make a sound

I looked under rock, what is this i found

It’s a note of some kind, this is actually mad

Who has been here, was it my dad

I knew he was gone, as he went to the moon

I wonder if i will get to see him soon
